Bank of St. Vincent and the Grenadines
The Bank of Saint Vincent & the Grenadines Ltd. (BOSVG), formerly the National Commercial Bank (SVG) Ltd., was founded in June 1977 by The Honorable Robert Milton Cato, the then Premier of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. The Bank had a staff complement of 11 and operated from a single Branch at the corner of Halifax and Egmont Streets. Today, the Bank employs 165 staff and operates from eight locations: Reigate, Granby Street, Kingstown, which is the Head Office, an Exchange Bureau at the Argyle International Airport, and seven branches located at Bedford Street in Kingstown, Arnos Vale, Georgetown on the Windward side of island, Barrouallie on the Leeward side of the island, and on the Grenadine Islands of Bequia, Canouan and Union Island.
BOSVG currently offers services in retail banking; which include savings, deposits, credit and investment banking. BOSVG also offers a suite of electronic banking services.
The current shareholders of BOSVG are: The Government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, East Caribbean Financial Holding Company Limited (ECFH), St. Vincent National Insurance Services and the Public & Staff of BOSVG holding 43.13%, 20%, 20% and 16.87% of common shares respectively.
The members of the Board of Directors of the BOSVG are: Mr. Maurice Edwards – Chairman, Sir Errol Allen, Dr. Timothy Providence, Mr. Omar Davis, Mr. Lennox Timm, Mr. Lennox Bowman, Mrs. Saibrina Brewster-Dickson, Mrs. Judith Veira and Mr. Medford Francis. The Managing Director Is Mr. Derry Williams.
